Retrace our memory and find a new landscape.
-October 2023-
Back in November 2015, I came here to work as an expat for the first time. I only brought a small suitcase with me. Despite my tiny luggage, there are massive great experiences I could have such as the weather, food, and surely my colleagues and friends!
The main purpose of visiting here this time was to catch up with them because of 7 years of absence! Time flew... However, I couldn't see them all due to our limited stay days...
Anyway, it is hard for me to pick up the one for the recommendation of a visit. However, I will talk about one of my favorite spots there.
1. Jalan Changkat Thambi Dollah.
Nice little street to find some coffee shops, dumpling restaurants, and convenience stores. On top of that, other streets absolutely near here are very local so it is good to visit to explore your untouristic adventure! I might pick up some shops at the food page in detail...
2. China Town.
Some photogenic streets caught my eye that colorful facades lined up in the street. Not only the landscape but also many good restaurants, cafes, and shops are worth dropping in.
We only visited here to retrace our memory. There was a bar here a while ago where my partner had been to but now it's turned to be a cafe... Bit disappointed but we knew many shops would be changed or closed. Instead, nice quotes said hi to us.
"There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign. - Rovert Louis Stevenson< span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> "
It is fascinating because it is exactly who we are now. When we go out of the country we are resident in, we turn out to be the only foreign to local people/area even though we feel that is a foreign land.
3. Brick Field.
Energetic, bustling, vegetarian-friendly restaurants are my impression of Brick Field.
It takes about a 10-minute walk from KL central station so it's easy access. Especially for being hungry around the station, just walk down the street to have some delicious curry.
